The Percy Hedley Foundation providing care, education and support for disabled children, young people and adults across the North East. Their size enables them to provide a wide range of services to over 1000 families each year. Their aim is to support disabled people and their families through the effective delivery of specialist services that are of an outstanding quality.



Red Sky Foundation

Red Sky Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of people needing cardiac care who are born with or develop heart conditions by providing lifelong support to them and their families. They do this by providing a range of services to relieve sickness and preserve the health of individuals in the UK.



Muscular Dystrophy UK

Muscular Dystrophy UK is a UK charity focusing on muscular dystrophy and related conditions. They seek to cure or find treatments for muscular dystrophy and other muscle-wasting conditions, and to improve the lives of those affected.




Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales. Founded in 1946 as the National Association for Mental Health, it celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2016. Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf.



Heel & Toe

Heel & Toe Children’s Charity was established in June 2008. The ‘Not for Profit’ organisation was granted charity status on the 4th September 2008 and the centre was opened on the 4th October 2008, offering FREE Conductive Education Therapy for any child with Cerebral Palsy in an annex based at the Meadows School in Spennymoor County Durham.



The Children's Heart Unit Fund

CHUF's vision is to support pioneering services that will positively impact heart families, inspire hope and enable Heart Heroes to reach their full potential. CHUF supports children and families who receive treatment at the Children’s Heart Unit based at the Freeman Hospital and the many other hospitals providing care for cardiac patients throughout the North of England.




Children’s Hospices Across Scotland. But most people know them as CHAS. For thirty years they've been offering a full family support service for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions. This includes palliative care, family respite and support – through our hospices, homecare services and hospital presence.



Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK is the world's largest independent cancer research organization. It is registered as a charity in the United Kingdom and Isle of Man, and was formed on 4 February 2002 by the merger of The Cancer Research Campaign and the Imperial Cancer Research Fund.



Autism Parents Together

Autism Parents Together (Tees Valley), is a charity that was originally established as a parent support group in 2018. The charity provides support to children/young people aged 0-18, either diagnosed with or undergoing assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).



Action for A-T

Action for A-T was established in 2012 to provide support to the wider A-T community and speed up the process of identifying a cure or treatments that delay or prevent the disabling effects of Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T).



UK Youth

UK Youth is a leading national charity, committed to providing access to appropriate, high quality services in every community so that young people are empowered to build bright futures, regardless of their background or circumstances.



The Tiny Lives Trust

The Tiny Lives Trust is a registered charity that helps to care for premature and sick newborn babies, their mothers and families in the Special Care Baby Unit of the Newcastle Neonatal Service based in Ward 35 of the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.



Kids Club Kampala

Kids Club Kampala support vulnerable kids in Uganda. Providing for both their immediate needs and strengthening their futures through educating, feeding, protecting, and skilling. Their vision is to see children’s lives transformed, communities empowered and poverty reduced throughout Kampala’s slums.



Hope House

Hope House Children’s Hospices are here to make sure that no one faces the death of their child alone. They support more than 750 local families who are either caring for a terminally ill child, or whose child has died.




The Motor Neurone Disease Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by motor neurone disease in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. MND is also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or, in the United States, Lou Gehrig's disease.



Marie Curie

Marie Curie is a registered charitable organisation in the United Kingdom which provides care and support to people living with a terminal illness and those close to them, and campaigns for better support for dying people. It was established in 1948, the same year as the National Health Service.



The Teesside Charity

The Teesside Charity was established in March 2011 to provide social and economic opportunities that would not otherwise have existed in the area. the charity’s key function is to financially support community groups and charities based within Teesside, which promote social wellbeing and provide support to those who find themselves at a disadvantage in the society they live in.



The Children's Trust

The Children's Trust is UK's leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability. They deliver rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families.



Remembering Rebecca

Remembering Rebecca is a registered charity in memory of Rebecca Sands who gained her angel wings, aged 21 months, in August 2010. The charity offers financial assistance to children, from birth to 16 years, with Lissencephaly and other neurological conditions.



St Richard's Hospice

St Richard's cares for adults with a serious progressive illness, improving their quality of life from diagnosis, during treatment and to their last days. They also support their loved ones.
